Original concept, decent bonus sites

Backstage 24 is a site that claims to be the only porn site that reveals all the secrets from behind the scenes of making porn. Well, no, I don’t think that’s quite right, but it’s certainly one of a rare breed, I’ll give it that, and a welcome change from the usual fare you get in online porn. It’s a bit like a collection of ‘DVD extras’, I suppose, with interviews, deleted segments of movies and even behind-the-scenes sex scenes on board.
The content itself can vary wildly in how interesting it actually is. The stuff when you see performers preparing for a scene (including one hilarious clip where a guy furiously masturbates in a desperate attempt to keep an erection) is quite good, but there’s rather a lot of people just lounging around doing very little. There’s not enough actual action, which I think was always going to be the danger with such a site. Plus, how many will pay to see a site that is basically formed of outtakes?
The navigation is slightly peculiar as well with the site promising new updates a couple of weeks ago that haven’t actually materialised. Also, they do say that there are high definition videos available here, but I didn’t see any amongst the small amount of video browsing options. A saving grace is the four network bonus sites that are rather interesting and different, but Backstage 24 was largely really disappointing. :(
